If, like us, you are forever on the hunt for a game to give your kids that doesn’t involve yet another uninspiring download, then check out Ani-gram-it, a new board game that’s beautifully designed, fun to play and specifically created to help your kids learn a little bit more about nature.

The brainchild of Alex Wolf, a long time friend of KOTUR, the crossword style board game consists of small wooden pieces, each representing different ‘body parts’ that can be used to create an animal. As Wolf puts it, in Ani-gram-it, instead of making words, you make animals, and instead of using letters, you use body parts. The game is designed to encourage conversation with your children and ignite their curiosity – as well as trigger their memory of different animals and create a meaningful, fun way to help them interact with nature. It comes two ways – as a traditional board game, or in two different portable kits, perfect for long journeys with kids. With their inspiring imagery and elegant wooden pieces, they’re created for the design conscious, too.

To get in on the game you need to head to Kickstarter where Alex is raising funds for the first, limited edition Ani-gram-it games, set to be ready for Christmas and available for pre-order here – you have until 2pm EST tomorrow, 6th November to get involved. If you’re looking for a gift that keeps both you and the kids happy, we highly recommend you check it out.
