The New York-born accessories designer behind the popular evening clutches and minaudières of Kotur.

Favourite destination: New York, because it is home. Los Angeles, it’s got beaches and Hollywood—what else is there? Norfolk, Connecticut, at my mother’s country house, where I spent summers growing up and where I take my children now. My mum always has great parties in her barn.

Must-see sights: Yves Saint Laurent’s Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, Morocco.

Best hotels: Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Hotel du Palais Biarritz in France. Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, India.

Best suitcase: Functional and anonymous – I like my luggage stealth.

Three things you don’t leave without: A clutch—always useful and adds a dash of chic to every outfit. Chocolate—I always carry a secret stash. Photos of my boys, even if they are with me.

Wash bag essentials on a trip: La Mer—my evening ritual. Emergen-C packets —to keep the germs away and the energy up.

Favourite restaurants: Le Grenouille in New York, we just celebrated my mum’s birthday there. My favourite lunch of all was with Massimo Missoni, who took me to his favourite haunt in the Italian mountains. The chef and owner served the most delicious food from her own house. We were also recently in London and I loved 5 Hertford Street, Rifiki Club, and Mark’s Club.

Favourite bars: Rock Bar at the Ayana in Bali. Club 55 in San Tropez. Nothing is more divine than a cocktail by the ocean.

Best places to shop in the world: Online, for the luxury of choice and it’s always open.

Most memorable trip: I went to Egypt with my mum when I was still single. We took a cruise up the Nile and it was the most memorable trip, for all the historical sites we saw and experiencing it together.
