Seen there in tangerine sequins, white florals and our signature snakeskin is the Margo, with her friend the Morley to be found in tangerine sequins alongside the latest take on our Glitter Globe, the brand new Aqua Globe clutch.

The World of KOTUR: Special Spring Preview

We’re so excited about our upcoming Spring collection, we couldn’t help but share a few of our very favorite pieces with you. Designed around different garden themes (a Savage Garden, Pop Garden, Retro Garden, Secret Garden and Cyber Garden all gave inspiration for bags from the au naturel to the glitzy and glamorous,) it’s a season full of wonders we can’t wait to reveal.

For the ultimate in pastel blocking (thank you, Kerry Washington, for your lesson in how, ably given at the NAACP Awards last week,) our Espey’s now come in a rainbow of pastels guaranteed to give an instant breath of fresh air to any evening look. Lilacs, pale pinks and sea greens are already proving hits on the red carpet – any minute now, they can take a star turn in your wardrobes too.

Sequinned JB Renna Bonets and Marguerite Espeys inspired by old fashioned lady’s swimming caps give a brilliant retro take on evening clutches, with our feathered Fino already proving a firm favorite (thank you, Dakota Fanning,) when it comes to making a statement.

Fans of the neon trend need look no further than our new Margos. Lace and neon brocades give a modern spin on this Kotur classic and a perfect pop of colour for any LBD. From our Cyber Garden grows an Aquaglobe – the latest addition to our perspex family, and a guaranteed talking point. And, for those who prefer things a little more natural, the Savage Garden’s raffia and snakeskin numbers, plus our Morleys in wonderful West African Batik prints should prove perfect for working the au naturel look so prevalent right now.

The World of KOTUR: Nancy Gonzalez comes to town

Long familiar with her brand, I was pleased last week to have a chance to catch up with fellow bag designer Nancy Gonzalez. In Hong Kong to open her first store here, she’s a designer I admire for her clean and definite aesthetic and focused view. Running her family business alongside her son Santiago, Gonzalez’s bags are made in her native Colombia and exist as proof that frills and frosting aren’t always necessary when it comes to making an impact. Using exotic skins in amazing saturated colours (particularly keen on her deep, deep purples,) she produces bags that will last the test of time and yet still feel rather nowish, too. With the great and the glam out in force, it was an evening to bring out the big guns on my accessories front, so I took our Jones clutch along for the ride. A new style coming your way for next fall, he tends to cause quite a stir. And on this night, it was no different.

1. Pair our classic Espey in burnt sequin with a loose silk shirt, distressed jeans, a statement necklace and some killer heels for the French Vogue take on dressing up.

2. Inspired by Hedi Slimane’s new work at Saint Laurent, take your cue from Helmut Newton’s classic image of Le Smoking and try a tux. The World of KOTUR: The Brit Crowd Hit Hong Kong

Fresh from the shows and via LA, the British Fashion Council brought their hottest young designers to Hong Kong this week to showcase their new collections and peddle their rather fabulous wares. Clear from the get go was the message that Spring for them is a season in which to make a statement. Powerful prints from Peter Pilotto, sexy sequins from Jonathan Saunders and jewels with attitude from Dominic Jones could have all walked happily off their rails and instantly into our closets. These were wearable fashion statements, every single one.

We particularly loved Roksanda Illincic’s form flattering dresses – so demure yet sexy, and perfectly doable for day or night. In an ideal world we’d be pairing this one with Nicholas Kirkwood’s new ice cream colored peep toe lace ups and our Kotur Pearce clutch. Long live London’s latest fashion moment!

It was wonderful to have recently caught up with Blue Carreon during the NY Shows; little then did I realize that my friend, journalist, blogger, would also be Spring 2013′s new omnipotent fashionister and the subject of many a street-style snap…

At NY Magazine’s The Cut, Sharp, style.com and WWD, the camera catches the spirit that is Blue- his intelligence, style and elegance.

And for more of Blue, no need to search far for his byline at the Huffington Post, Forbes, South China Morning Post, or on his own aptly-named blog, style intel. Blue is certainly not a passing trend…
