Ann Caruso has much to celebrate, having just last week been named Womenswear Stylist of the Year at Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards. And we were just getting over last year’s excitement over her styling George Clooney’s family for his recent nuptials…

Ann shares with us the 9 things that keep her blissfully inspired.

1. Friends and Family:

Friends and family keep me on the right track. They are a constant source of creativity, truth, and support.

2. Books

If I am surrounded by books, then I have a constant source of inspiration.

3. The Sun and the Water

Nothing gets me more reenergized and feeling free and alive than being near the water and being in the sun.

4. Hearts:

I love finding heart rocks or heart shapes. It makes me feel like I’m surrounded by love.

5. Daily Drinks-Green Juices, Teas, and Cappuccinos:

I feel like green juices keep me super healthy. I also have an amazing assortment of teas at home. Depending on my mood, I like having different flavors. Cappuccinos are a huge treat for me. It can be an indulgence during the day to lift me up or a substitute for a sweet treat.

6. Music:

I studied classical voice and piano growing up, so music has always been close to my heart. Music can really uplift and set the mood.

7. Fisherman Sweaters:

Anything classic and cozy works for me. Love the fisherman knit and would collect every single one if I could.

8. Antique Flea Markets:

I love going to the antique markets, imagining where things come from. I am always intrigued by the colors, shapes, and designs.

9. Young Living Oils

I have learned that not only do aromatherapy oils smell and make you feel good, but they can also heal and keep you healthy. Different oils have different intentions, like joy, clarity, or peace. I use them in many different ways including putting them in a diffuser while working or falling asleep at night.

For the 20 years I have known Stephanie, her chic, exotic style has been her signature. Born in France to a German father and Russian mother, Stephanie grew up between Europe and New York and went on to hold design positions at Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch. It only seemed natural that Stephanie would launch Figue, her collection of “global gypsy-meets-jet-set” clothes and accessories that are “every bit as luxurious as it is bohemian”. Our favorite pieces include hand-beaded reclaimed military jackets, limited edition jewelry, and embroidered caftans, all of which reflect the spirit of her global travels. Stephanie shares the top 9 finds that keep her dreaming….

1. The Ballet Russes costumes
The costume designs for The Ballets Russes are a continuous source of inspiration for me. There was such freedom around colors and proportions. It all came together in a stunning presentation that revolutionized the art form.

2. Elephants
I have loved elephants my whole life. They are incredibly powerful, yet gentle creatures that can teach us so much. We have a few pieces in the collection inspired by elephants that allow us to give back to the David Sheldrick Trust in Kenya.

3. L’Isola dei Galli
When I was a little girl, I would visit my grandfather on L’Isola dei Galli off the coast of Positano. I still remember the feeling of the warm wind and the bright blues of the Mediterranean Sea.

4. Live In The Sunshine, Swim In The Sea, Drink The Wild Air
This Emerson quote truly embodies the spirit of Figue! We have it hanging in the studio as a reminder.

5. Luxe Guides
Luxe Guides are right on point. They are cheeky, fun and loaded with great destination spots.

6. Lamu, Afica
Lamu, a heritage site off the coast of Africa, has an incredible authentic spirit that I love. From the architecture to the way of life, it is as if you are transported to another time.

7. Bob Marley
Bob Marley is almost always playing on my iPod. It makes me feel like I am on the beach even when I am not.

8. Malick Sidibe’s photographs
Malick Sidibe’s photographs are a constant source of inspiration for me. I have many of his books at home and displayed around the office.

9. Open Air Markets
I love browsing open-air markets (like this one in Masai Mara, Kenya) for beautiful hand-beaded jewelry, art and crafts.

L-Atitude is one of our favorite global shopping destinations - Founder Alisa Ng curates her unique travel finds, from Burma …

L-Atitude is one of our favorite global shopping destinations - Founder Alisa Ng curates her unique travel finds, from Burma to Bombay, Bali to Bogota on her site shoplatitude.com. Alisa shares with us her discoveries, and the things that send her soaring.

1. Bagan, Burma
Bagan is an incredibly beautiful valley in Burma littered with thousands of 11th century Buddhist temples. The view just takes your breath away. I went in the late 90s, before there were many tourists, and I truly felt like I was in another time another world walking through those ruins.

2. Cantonese Food
Canto food just transports me straight home to Hong Kong! I was traveling in Peru for 2 weeks with my sister, by the end of the trip, we had to make a dash for Chinatown in Lima. We were sitting with a Peruvian crowd, but it felt like any lunch-hour in Tsim Sha Tsui.

3. Invigorate Lotion from Como Shambhala Estate, Bali
Its sits on my desk in the office, & transports me every time to their Spa Pavilion in Bali.. it is truly heavenly.

4. Bombay, India
Bombay is a magical city. I love the Indian characteristics of the city that over-run its Victorian architecture back-drop.

5. Turkish Towels
We spend a lot of time sourcing in the Grand Bazaar, Istanbul. I’m always knee-deep in Turkish textiles, so the amazing Turkish towels in my bathroom transports me back to Istanbul.

6. KOTUR’s Guzel Heels
Guzel in Turkish means “beautiful”. I love KOTUR’s reinterpretation of the ottoman sandals.

7. La Mamounia Hotel’s Lobby Scent / Candles
The written word cannot describe the amazing scent in La Mamounia’s lobby in Marrakesh. It transports me to magical tents, Berber tribes, exotic orchards…. I went on a hunt to find the scented candles and brought boxes of it home.

8. Instagram
The secret voyeur in all of us comes out through Instagram.

9. Shop Latitude’s Blog
I’m personally obsessed with all the amazing travel stories of the designers & globetrotters we interview. I experience the world differently through their eyes.
